People are often told that they need to be religious. People in the church often try to be religious. People outside the church don't want to go to church because they are afraid of being religious. The truth of the matter is people who are non-Christian often have it right. Jesus calls us to be anti-religious, He often spoke against the Pharisees and the legalistic people of this day. What the church needs to realize is that it's not about making rules and traditions are number one priority. It's about living of life of grace that is centered on Jesus: 1) having a relationship with Him and 2) telling others about Him.
If you are a Christian, I challenge you to not be infected with the disease of religion and legalism. If you are not a Christian, know that Christianity is not about being super-religious and it's not about obeying a list of do's and don'ts. It's simply about having a loving, life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. The rest will follow.
