I've recently been thinking about the message of John 3:16, influenced by Max Lucado's book, "3:16" I've memorized this verse since I was a kid, but I've come to realize how powerful the message is, especially as we come into the Christmas season. Think about the first part of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world...." God loves the world. What a crazy concept right? God created the world and everything in it, but how many times do we turn away from Him? How many times do we screw up in this life? How many times do we destory what He has created? But the reality is that God still loves the world. His love is unconditional, unchanging, and is always pursing us. As we celebrate the Christmas season, know that God's love is for you. Know that God's love is for everyone. In church we're in a sermon series titled "Hope" which is based on the transforming message of John 3:16. The link to our podcast is located at the top of the blog page.
Below are two videos we did for our sermon series. Check them out, let me know what you think:
Other Stuff
Life has been pretty busy lately. It feels like the past few weeks have all just blended together. I think the craziness started when we moved into a new place towards the end of October. The church is letting us staying in the house they own, so it's been a real treat. It's a bigger space and we're closer to the church and the freeway. We're having an open house tomorrow, so we're looking forward to having a great party. We threw a party for Elianah's 1st birthday party - lots of work, lots of fun. We then had tons of family over for Thanksgiving. My parents came to stay for about a week, and my brother, his wife, and two kids stayed for a few days over Thanksgiving. Fun times. Very crowded. Elianah is growing and is suprising us everyday with how smart she is. Will try to blog again soon.
