We're Very Thankful

The other day, Melinda and I were sitting on our couch (which a good friend gave us) in our newly arranged basement. As we were sitting there, we were thinking about how thankful we are of everything we have. For those of you who saw our first apartment years ago, you would know that it's smaller than our current basement. God has brought us a long way. With the troubling economy, we're just so fortunate to be living in a house and having jobs to pay for everything. We know that God has given us much more than we deserve. I recently spoke at church about everything we have, really belongs to God. Click on the iTune or Podcast button above to subscribe to the podcast.

Today we get to host our first Super Bowl party since we moved to Albany. Last year we were just settling in and I ended up watching the game by myself. Hopefully this year, I'll get some more company for the big game. The last time we hosted a Super Bowl party, Pittsburgh beat Seattle. Let's hope that we don't get a repeat of that (Go Cardinals!). We're really looking forward to this party because we'll have different sections of the house for different activities. The family room will be for those who want to watch the game. The living room will be those who want to play board games. The dinning room will be for those who want to eat. The basement will be for the kids to play, and those who want to play Playstation or shoot pool. So needless to say, we have something for everyone.

In other news, the video below is my worst nightmare. Let's hope the injury is minor or that it's not season ending........
