Moving Forward

As always God just blows us away with his provisions and the ways in which he prepares a way for us. This weekend we had two incredible experiences.

The first was a concert in CT with Andrew Peterson, and several others as part of AP's Behold the Lamb tour. We had a wonderful time out together while Elianah was at home with her Aunt Teddi. During the concert one of the artists made a presentation for Compassion International and as part of that presentation was talking about service and Human injustices. Much of what was shared resonated with the Ministry that we want to have and our beliefs about God, service and our responsibility as Christians. One of the things that hit us both the most was when he talked about what our response to the question "Where is God in All of This [Human Injustices Around the World]?" and in answer to that posed a second question of "Where are God's People in All of This?"

Where Are We?

Where are we as humans in response to what is happening in the world? What is it that we are doing to help the down trodden, the oppressed, the poor, those in need? Are we just sitting at home attempting to "make it" in this world attaining the next thing? Or are we willing to step out and sacrifice our way of living, our comforts for the needs of others? These are questions that we must all ask ourselves and deal with as we live out our lives.

The second experiance we had was interviewing at a church. While small in number the love and desire to serve was so strong among them. We are so excited that we will also have the opportunity to officially canidate at this church on January 6th. Our prayer is that God will continue to guide us in this journey as we are so in love with the people there and how so much of their vision and ideas about church and the body of Christ match with our own beliefs. It was an amazing conversation over lunch and we are excited to return and to get to know these people and fellow Christ Followers next month.
